You didn`t post the total length of the violin !!  That would be important to your sale and would distinguish a full size from  a 3/4 or smaller student size !! If you use Ebay be sure to put a reserve price on it !! There is one good violin group that I found who are very experienced with antique stringed instruments !! I will try to find a link for you !!  Sometimes the history adds to the worth so be sure to get all the info you can and post it with the violin !!

Here is a link to the discussion page !! If you are going to sell more violins you might consider joining this group !! They seem to be well versed in old stringed instruments and the makers !!  Let us know what you find out !!

i am an ebay seller, i sell lots of collectibles so i go to flea markets a lot.
i meat a guy here with an amazing violins collection and he wants me to help him sell it, so this is the first one he wants to sell.
i was wondering if its good for ebay or maybe an auction house is a better way to go.
BTW the violin sounds amazing and its from israel so theres a good chance that it was brought here by a WW2 survivor.
here are some more pictures.

I think it's an excellent violin for Ebay, a collectable case which would increase value and make it easier to ship ( it's not going to break and the violin won't be damaged ! )

The market for violins on Ebay is strong and this, though a copy and in need of restoration, is quite scarce

I listed a violin on ebay about a year ago, expecting £300, and a US buyer paid £420 after the violin attracted plenty of interest even though it was a late 19th century copy of an 18th century violin.

Use all 12 photos, give dimensions etc

If you PM me when you've listed it, i can post the link on a violin collectors forum.

I'm a member on there and it's a great forum when in need of guidance on a certain violin
