This is kinda cool.
I found my gr-grandfather's bible, given to him in 1919 for being the church's "Recording Steward".
The copy write of the bible is 1917, and it's falling apart.
Look at that penmanship on the dedication!!

That is fabulous!  I wish I had good penmanship like that!  (Did you know that many schools no longer even teach cursive writing but just printing?!)

Definitely a keeper! 

My hubby's family bible was rebound and you would have never known that it wasn't that way originally (unless you are an expert).  You may want to look into that if you think it is worth it for your family.  (I wish I had the bible here to show you since it was from the same time period but my sis-n-law has it.)

I know!! It's pretty lame that a lot of kids aren't taught cursive any longer.

It's only me and my brother left in the family now, and neither one of us are at all religious.
I have a few friends that are "God fearing". One of them may be interested in it.

Or maybe I'll put it on eBay some day, *as is*.

Beautiful calligraphy !!  Back then writing was an art !!  Why not frame that page ??  A bible is family history !!  I would keep it !!

Yeah, but like I said, it's only my brother and I left in the family now.
After we're gone --- PFFT! That's it for our line.
Unless..... !!!
I found some living relatives in Norway or Denmark!
I found my 2nd cousins in Sweden on my father's side of the family thru Ancestry< dot>com
All 12+ of them are on FaceBook. 
There must be some on my mother's side that know who Otto was.
We know very little about that side of the family.

Must delve deeper.......

I've always heard if we go back far enough in our Norwegian ancestors, we are royalty.

I think if you go back far enough in world history half the population is royalty of some sort.
