Does somebody have access to artist monogram database.

Signed WC 1967.
Bought in the UK, so it can be a Scottish artist because of the mountain view.
I always thought it was Scandinavian because of the snowy mountain but I could be wrong.

Just curious, I always felt it has potential.

Most artists that use initials only are hobby painters !!  Professional artists that are trying to get ahead in the art world know that name recognition is important !!  An artists name on a painting is how they are known !!  Can you imagine walking into a gallery and saying,, I would like to see some of W.C.`s work,,, W.C. who !!  There are hundreds if not more artists with those initials !!  How are you going to find that one without knowing the name !!
You can try to use google for "List of 20th century UK artists" but it will only give the ones with sales/show records !!  Unknown artists with no records are not included !!  They must have done something that would bring some recognition !!  There will be several lists and not all have the same names so search them all !!
