However, how much pleasure they must feel for all the time we are spending on talking about them! LOLOL

Little tidbit of information - Which of the 50 states eats the most Spam?  (Over 6 million cans a year?)

Ding Ding Ding!!!  Mart got it!  They even sell it on the breakfast menu at McDonalds and Burger King!  All the fast food stores sell Spam Musubi (Cooked spam slice on top of cubed rice wrapped with nori).  In the stores they sell from 6 flavors to 14 (we have counted)!  It is eaten by all on the island and doesn't have social bias as in so much of the rest of the US.

Created in 1939...Spam is now one of the biggest exports of the US!  Compared to other packaged meats - it is actually healthier than most containing only 6 ingredients (unless flavored like Jalapeno, etc)  Pork/Ham, Water, Potato Starch, Sugar, Salt and Sodium Nitrate!

Spam 101 class is now over!  Questions class?

Yeah, Spam got a bad name here because of soldiers during WW2, often that was all they had to eat so naturally when they got back home, Spam was a big NO NO around the homestead, your average GI never wanted to see it again, PERIOD! At least, that was the way it was around my house.
My mom on the other hand liked it, course she never had to eat it every day so every now n then she would smuggle in a couple cans, slice it, fry it and with eggs & toast, pretty good breaky but my dad? just the smell of it frying made him queasy.
