Foster's No 88 Hot Blast Stove
« on: January 15, 2018, 08:12:36 pm »
Hi. I have a parlor stove that says Foster's Hot Blast No 88 on it. I cannot seem to find this exact stove listed anywhere and I have searched around a lot. It appears to have all of the parts and it does function. Does anyone know anything about this stove and have an idea of the value? Pictures attached. Thanks so much!

WOW, that’s a nice one.

Its worth quite a bit as is, ...... but worth a lot more if reconditioned.

Lots of nickel coated parts and with tiny isinglass windows.

Get it cleaned up, the parts re-nickeled and a coating of Stove Black and it will be a thing of beauty, and functional too, as an auxiliary heating source.

After reconditioning it will look like this one, to wit:
