Hand Carved Walking Stick
« on: February 23, 2024, 12:43:45 pm »
This was found in my great-grandparents house in 1939.
It's close to 100 years old, I guess.
It's 36" long.
It has some kind of leaf design with a snake curling around it.
No idea if a price could be put on it.
Whatever anybody is willing to pay, I suppose.

Hi Raven31557!
Nice family piece.
Wish I could help you out with that - but the sentimental/familial value is the greatest.

Are there any markings on it?
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

No markings at all.
I wasn't clear.
It was found in their house when they bought it in 1939.
We have no idea who carved it or when.

It's gorgeous.  Wish I knew more about walking sticks.  Hopefully someone will pipe up about this!

I'll ask a friend that collects them and get back to you.
