Hello, i have in my possesion and antique French Mantel Clock that got passed on by my grand mother wich belonged to her grand parents, it's a complete set with 2 candle holders, on the front face there is inscriptions saying "Latreille", "Trabes" and "Just"
I figured this clock comes from an old clockmaker called Bijouterie Latreille wich is located in the city of Tarbes in France.
The mechanism is of a brand called "just" and has an ingraved number "4514 5 5"
I have tried to contact the clockmaker numerous times but with no answers, Bijouterie latreille has been in business since 1887 so i figured the clock is from late 1800
here is the clockmaker site:http://www.bijouterie-latreille.fr/histo.htm
here are some pix of the clock, if anyone can help me out with maybe a ballpark price on this item, just for my knowledge, thanks a lot.
It's a beautifull piece filled with details and in perfect working order.
The main piece is 9" tall X 9" wide X 5" deep. The complete set weights in at around 30 pounds.
thanks for any info.
