I have a white porcelin hen that is glossy, looks just like the staffordshire except she is all white. Did Staffordshire make an all white hen (including nest)? Also, I understand there are repos of staffordshire out there, how does one tell them apart? Thanks Jean

a link to some neat hens:

http://www.kaleden.com/scripts/search_resu...elain--hen.html

there's 7 pages but this one showed 2 white hens one obviously not a Staffordshire.  Browse all the pages - there's lots of hens - and you can also run a search just as Staffordshire Hens - How to tell the difference?  Take your girl to a very good antique dealer who has British ceramics - it's not just the style - it's the feel - the color - and yes there are repros - some repros are old and would have a collectible value -of their own - just like the Staffordshire spaniels - the hens were well loved.    KB
