Silver bowls?
« on: March 05, 2006, 03:14:00 pm »
I recently acquired two small dessert looking dishes. They are both stamped on the bottom with:  Victor S. Co.; E.P.-N.S.; silver soldered; R0107; 4 oz. then the number 55 in a box.  All of these lines are one beneath the other, except for the last, 4 oz. and the 55 in a box, which are on the same line.  Does anyone have any ideas about these?  Thanks for the help.

The initials mean silverplate - the company had several names - Derby, Victor S was I believe a line of wares - they became a part of International Silver Co., and you may find pics of your bowls here:

There's a LOT to scroll thru - open the thumbnails on the blue column to the left - your're looking for items marked holloware - and plate vs sterling.  Best wishes, KB
