I purchased a house with an ELECTRIC BRASS FIREPLACE insert. I have contacted the company that made this product and was informed that it is a 1930-1940 time fireplace. It is in working order and has a light and heating element. It has a serial number of 83. The company that made the product is from Toronto ONTARIO Canada (Renfrew Electric).
The gentleman from Renfrew Electric also said the piece was expensive when it was originally bought and few were sold, at that time. The division of the company that built the fireplace disbanded in the 1950's, so little information is available regarding this product.
I am having a very hard time finding information regarding this piece, any help would be greatly appreciated.
