antique butter churn

I have a small butter churn that someone has told me is between 1840 to 1860.I would like to know how I can obtain a value for this churn It is 13inches high and the handle  has star shaped curn end.

could use some more information. Many companies, Dazey glass churns are one of the most popular and collected. If yours dates to 1850 it is most likely pottery or wood? Prices can range up to several hundred depending on condition.
