Found an old Trapeze?
« on: February 02, 2007, 12:19:41 pm »
I work for a company that renovates old houses in Detroit. As I cleared out a garage I found some type of trapeze. Of course, what I'd like to know is some history about it and an estimated value. It seems to be in good shape, the wood is not cracked and the leather hand grips look good. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Jeff H.-Detroit MI

Hi. Thanks for replying. I tried to attach 1 jpeg but an error message occured that said the attachment was too large? So all I could do was post what I typed. You can email me (cudalounge@hotmail.com) your address and I'll send you a couple of pics. Thanks, Jeff-Detroit

It would be a nice history story if we could find out who, what, when, where, why. If they could talk, they would have a story to tell indeed. I can't say too much other than they appear to be primative and older. Value?? Dunno, probably not a lot as they would be a select few who collect this sort of item. Retail maybe $75-$100 but could be more to a collector of circus memoribilia.
