1777

I recently was given a coffee service by my uncle that was brought to America from Scotland in 1849 by my great-great grandmother. I would love to know more about it's origins, etc. There are no manufacturers markings, just the date of 1777 on the bottom of all the pieces and the lids to the pot and sugar bowl. It is white w/ pink flowers. There are small square shaped plates (saucers?) w/ gold rimming also. I would really appreciate any information anyone might have on this. Thanks for all your help!
