WW2 US M1943 (?) overcoat
« on: March 04, 2007, 08:44:54 pm »
Ok, I should warn you all now that I am a complete noob, so if anything (or everything) I say is wrong, please tell me.  I got a WW2 era overcoat a while back.  It was in far better condition than I expected, and as far as I can tell, it was never issued and sat in storage ever since it was made.  It has plastic buttons, so I think it's late war make.  There are a couple moth tracks, but it took me a while notice them, and they're quite minor.  Really, I'm just trying to get any information I can on it.

Secondarily, not to sound too mercenary about it, but I am kind of curious what it's worth, if anything.  It's a pretty cool coat, but as a fairly poor student, I could use money more than I can use it, etc.

Heh.  I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.  Are these coats in relatively pristine condition that common?
