Casen - Your Girard Perregaux is a moderate big bucks watch. As the model name suggests, it has an automatic movement, probably 17 jewels that winds with the movement of your wrist as well as manually. This company made watches of all kinds, from stainless steel to 18K gold. Yours was probably made in circa 1950's, the only way to tell is to open the case and get the serial number. Not recommended. As to value the question would be, is the watch running and keeping time? If not it would probably be pretty expensive to service that automatic movement. I know for a fact that ten years ago it cost $450 to factory service a Rolex 17 jewel auto movement. So if it isn't running and keeping time its worth around $75 and if up and running and decent looking its in the $200 range. I don't believe the band is original to the watch but its a decent vintage band and probably worth $30-$40.
