Old Hamilton mfg. chests and drawers

A friend of mine inherited his father's printshop recently. The shop had several sets of chests and drawers made by hamilton mfg co. Some of them are designed to hold the old wooden prints and others have contain the metal prints. There are 3 drawer sets 44" high 36" wide and 24" deep. There are two slant-top drawer sets that are roughly 21" deep and 30" wide. There is also a workbench (missing a few drawers) 30" deep 80" wide and 38" high. Everything is a little beaten up because it was actually used for a long time in the printshop, but overall everything is still in fair condition. I was wondering if anyone had any information, and possibly an estimate for the kind of price one could expect for these items. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

the two slant top drawer set's. $75.00 to $ 100.00 apiece I would try for $ 25.00 dollar's for the other item's per unit. give it a day or two. and hopefully TIM will stop in and verify selling price.he's top of the line in printing equipment etc. or simply use the term shabby chick' when selling it's ok to be shabby it's what they expect.

D&B has been busy..............I'd say those prices are right. Condition and style are important as some cases were more ornate than others. Type cases take on a specialized field because you can only do so much with them. Old printers like myself still like to use them for furniture.

Type drawers alone can bring $10-$25 per drawer depending on the drawer. If you Goggle (or any search engine) the words California Job Case you can see the style of drawer I'm talking about.

Actually, letterpress printing (as opposed to offset) is making a comeback and your items could be worth more depending on the area of the country. I only wish we could have gotten then, $$$ what they get now for letterpress printing.
