S Kirk & Son INC-Sterling Silver
« on: January 05, 2008, 10:14:58 pm »
Ok, not sure what this is called or what it might be worth.  THis is what is stamped on the back.  S Kirk & Son INC--Sterling--207 with a strange symbol beside it. The Symbol is a cross between a T and a F and a lower case b.  Here is the description of it. A small Silver bowl 5 inches in diameter.2 1/4 inches tall. Floral edge, rounded bottom with 3 stub feet. Any idea what it is called? I don't think it is a compote because of the 3 feet.  And all the similiar compotes that I have found are on 1 pedastal or stand. Thanks in advance for the responses!    :)

I'am not sure what they intended either but we can get a close date of mfg. 1925 to 1931.
resale value do to it being sterling. about $200.00 dollars that's resale not scrap value which is whole lot less.
