Old Dolls...

I found these dolls at my Aunt's house in Wisconson when I was there after she died 7 years ago. They are very old porcelain and depict a certain time in history. And I am just wondering about them. They look like they are from the slavery days. They are very detailed. Any input is appreciated.

They look like twins.......I'm not an authority on dolls. Your first research is to look at their backside, usually just below the neck to see if there are any markings........... 8)

It looks like there is a symbol and then 18 It isn't written on them, it is like indented, but it is not very crisp or clear. Any thoughts?

impressed into the doll........18 is probably the size, 18" in length.......you need to get a doll book and search the mark.
