Owl Pendant

Hey I go to a small school in Kirksville, Missouri and I picked up this neat little owl pendant at this antique/hidden treasures little store. I was wondering what people might be able to tell me about this neat little piece (they said it was probably a late 50's item). Does it have a value at all though? I'm giving it to a girl who wanted it for a gift.
