VALUE OF A PIECE

I am about to buy an early cherry cupboard - well over 100 years old. The question I have it only has 4 original glass panes and the rest have been replaced. Those replacements are still old but not original. The piece is an unbelievable piece but how bad does this affect the value of the piece? Thanks!!

pam there's just some thing's we can't help and glass breakage is one of them. it should not affect the value.
but we have puritan's that would go into a state of shock  replaceing the glass.

Pam, iffen you were close by, ..... I'd give you a pane of glass you could cut and replace those replaced ones with.

I have several of them, I think, which I saved for such things when I helped a friend replace the windows in an almost 100 year old farmhouse.

But where ever you are, you look around, there are old houses, sheds and buildings bout everywhere that are falling down or in disrepair ...... that have a pane or two of glass large enough to cut replacements out of.
