Hello! My mother was gong through her barn and found these. There are not any stamps or markings. There are some small scattered bubbles in the glass. I didn't measure but I'd venture to say that they are about 8" at their widest point. They are quite heavy. Any idea as to if these are drapery holders or what they might be? They each have two screw holes for wall mounting, I'm assuming. Thanks for any info you could provide! brookemfett@gmail.com

Interesting.

It's possible they were used to hang a very large portrait or painting.

The bubbles in the glass signify they are really quite old. The ceilings in homes, mansions and buildings of that era were really quite high, ..... 12 feet or greater and the bracket for holding the picture was affixed to the wall anywhere from 2 feet to the top of the wall from where the picture was to hang.
