Lions Head Chair
« on: September 30, 2003, 07:02:50 am »
Hi - I'm new here but need your help.  I have an old wooden chair with a Lion's head or face carved on the front of the chair back.  It doesn't have claw feet.  The chair back is curved.  It has a label on the bottom of the chair which is hard to read but it says 'Stomps-Burkhardt Co., Dayton, Ohio.

My question is does anyone know how I can find out what time period this is from, and possibly what the chair is worth?

Thanks for your help!
