WHAT IS THE AGE AND VALUE OF THIS VINTAGE FOOT STOOL? I PURCHASED THIS FOOT STOOL FOR $5.00 AT AN AUCTION THE SAME TIME I PURCHASED SOME WATERFALL FURNITURE SO I BELIEVE THIS TO BE AROUND 1920-1940'S.
IT LOOKS LIKE IT HAS BEEN RECOVERED BUT I'M NOT SURE. THE FABRIC STILL APPEARS TO BE AN OLDER DESIGN. WHEN YOU TURN THE FOOT STOOL OVER THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT LOOKS LIKE IT HAS BEEN REPLACED. THE TACKS ON THE TRIM ARE SIMILIAR BUT THEY'RE TWO DIFFERENT DESIGNS. I'M THINKING THAT SOMEONE MIGHT HAVE RECOVERED THIS THEMSELVES RATHER THAN TAKE THIS TO A SHOP.
THE FEET HAVE MINOR CRACKS FROM THE WOOD DRYING OUT A LITTLE BUT IT STILL IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. IT MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 13 1/2" H, 21 1/2" W, 17" D. THIS MEASUERMENT IS FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE LEGS. THE SEAT IS APPROXIMATELY 21" X15"
I'M NOT SURE WHAT STYLE THIS IS AND THE AGE. ALSO THE VALUE OF IT SINCE THE BASE IS ORIGINAL AND THE FABRIC APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN REPLACED.
