Little Joe #28 iron pot belly stove
« on: March 25, 2009, 10:18:49 am »
I inherited my grandmother's little stove about 40 years ago and I was interested in getting information on it.  She used it to cook all her family's meals on, but, it's so tiny I doubt that's what it was originally designed for, so, I would like to know what it was supposed to be used for.  It's in perfect condition and I have used it as an accent piece in my homes ever since I got it.  It weighs a ton, considering how small it is.  I have all the pieces to it and was wondering, also, what it's value might be.  It's still operational, but, not know exactly how grandmother fired it up, I'm leery of trying and ruining it or burning down the house!

Thanks in advance for your help,

Stephaneyh

Hi Stephaneyh!   Glad you are here.  We really need pics of your stove to answer your questions.  Rarely do we get an item question that we are able to answer without a picture.
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!
