Shuttles for 1884 Hammond typewriters
« on: April 30, 2009, 04:08:50 pm »
I have 12 Hammond Shuttles and 6 Varitype Shuttles (one is 1/3 Bakelite), and the apparatus to attach to the Hammond typewriter. All are in original boxes. I know the Hammond's were from 1884-1920 and the Varitype were after 1920.   I have found numerous museums with the typewriter itself but can find nothing on the shuttles.  Please steer me in the right direction with sound advice.

Please post pictures, it is virtually impossible to evaluate the value of an item without pics to help determine age, condition, country of origin, etc...btw, just a helpful hint, that's covered in BOLD font on the front page of the forum.  ;)  Good luck, I have no idea.
