Jean Paul Milet vase?
« on: May 23, 2009, 08:24:30 pm »
Hello!
I've been trying to find some information about this vase that my grandmother owns. From what I've found out it's most likely a Jean Paul Milet work made by Sevres. But his father, Felix Milet, also made vases so it might be one of his. I, and my grandmother, would appreciate any information about it.
(I forgot to put something in the picture to give a sense of it's size but it's about 6 inches/15 cms high)

it's Art Noveau in style. milet's father would have been a man of age.dureing the Art Noveau time frame. ( 1890 to 1914) I'am inclined to believe it's the work of his son

Have to bow to D&b's expertise on this....and do agree about the Art Noveau style/time frame!

Is that a crack that I detect on the top inside of the mouth? or crazing?
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

Hmmm, possibly. Either that or a cobweb. I don't have it here with me so I can't check.
Thanks for the input though  :)
