Just found out a bit more info

The chipper has the company name DAVEY MACHINES CO and also has LONDON LEEDS on the handle
Also the machne has square nuts which i am led to believe were only used pre world war 2

Thanks again

Fish&Chips ? Yum! Let the yanks keep burgers and stuff, the don't know what REAL fastfood is about - blimey, whole concept is our idea anyway, innit? "Davey" had me instantly thinking of Davey Bros in my good old hometown of Sheffield so I checked that out and then swapped to Leeds. Stuffed that and checked London and guess what? Seems they still exist, try http://www.davey.co.uk/ ... with any luck they'll grab it from yer fingers faster than you can say "British Home Stores" or at least may know what thingy needs fixing in your whatzit :)

Me too .

The chippers we're familiar with , here in the states , are like the ones in the movie "Fargo" .

That's quite the machine , karly1824 ....

I've been looking around for info on it & will keep checking in .

The Industrial ones I've found so far look like mosquitos , next to yours !

As a suggestion , karly1824 , you might check out foodmuseum.com  ...
extensive links and also a 'Potato' forum where you might post .
