old kodak projector
« on: June 04, 2009, 05:24:14 pm »
I have a Kodak Pageant Sound Projector with the model # AV-085. I believe it's a 16mm. Just wondered if it is worth anything. Thanks

If it's 16mm with sound, it sounds commercial to me (made for schools, businesses, etc.).  I'm sure there are some rare older models but most don't command a very good resale value.   Without a picture(s), I'm assuming it dates probably during the '50's or '60's.  Although Kodak is a great name, the vast majority of these were not trashed.  Like typewriters, most found their way into attics or basements and not the trash heap.  Most were used by adults and cared for when used and remain in excellent condition.  Since there are collectors of old 16mm films, I'm sure it carries a value if in working condition.

I am sure it does carry a value...everything does.

Have you tried searching on the internet under "projector camera museums".

Usually the people that establish these are great sources of information and willing to help out!
