Need help with strange chair
« on: September 01, 2009, 08:07:46 pm »
Hello,

I just purchased this chair and really need some help identifying what it is.  it stands about 4 feet tall, has sometype of rivets? for the padding and is made with nails.  The only marking on it I can find is that it says Mexico on the bottom of the seat, but this appears that it may be added on at some point because it is in white and can be rubbed off, almost like its chalk or something.  The wood appears old, has many cracks.   There is no tyoe of casters or anything on it.  Hoping someone can tell me if its worth the $75 I paid for it.  Even if not it is odd and a conversation piece.

Thanks
Nick

You already posted what I knew as soon as I saw it.  Made in Mexico.  More of the traditional Spanish/Mexican style produced more around the early-to-middin 90's.

I am afraid I can't hit your $75 value on this one.  $35 - $45.

Maybe someone else can better this one!

Looks to be in nice condition tho' and a nice conversation piece.
