Lion biting scroll mirror, please help!
« on: August 31, 2009, 03:11:47 pm »
I bought this mirror recently. now.... EVERYONE is wanting to buy it. I have no idea as to the age or the manufacturer or most importantly the price or a ball park figure. (of course, no one wants to give ME a price.... they want a deal) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Even if you can point me in the right direction of someone who knows about these.. TIA Dunes
PS. it is wood and looks to be carved.

It's english about 1900 to 1910. the chain was added as hanger. a rope would have been tied to each end of the scroll. $350.00 Dollars.

Agree on the rope hanger would have been here originally and the time line.  B&d is so=o=o=o=o=o=o good on this type of thing

I will one better you on the value and say $300 to $400 depending on where you live and the demand in your area.  I have alot of artsy friends with lots of $$$ that wouldn't even have batted an eye and paid up to $500 for this because of it's style and uniqueness. So, depending on where you live and if there are alot of decorator types and people with $$$$ you could get the higher prices!

So, B&d is the wiser putting the value at $350.
