Old Hickory Martinsville, Indiana Table
« on: September 23, 2009, 01:34:41 pm »
I was trying to sell an unusual old bentwood table on Craigslist when I discovered the Old Hickory brand underneath.  My mother-in-law at some point covered the top of this 30" x 30" X 30" hickory table, which had belonged to her grandmother, with ceramic tile.  Does that mean that this early 20th-century table is now worthless?  Is there still a market for this type of rustic, vintage furniture?

If it is the same company...here is the history on Old Hickory http://www.oldhickory.com/history.phtml

Interesting timeline - look at who all has Old Hickory furniture in their stores/hotels.....Disney...Rainforest...etc.  http://www.oldhickory.com/timeline.html
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!
