Picked this one up this weekend , just because I liked it & it would fit in a specific place in the hse .
It came over from Scotland in the early 1950's by ship ( sadly , it was refinished just proir to shipping ) & came with orig. shipping tag from the trip .
It's around 33 1/2" X 21 1/4" X 39" tall (top of back marble) .
All dovetail , mortise & tenon ... no screws except mounting hardware for the handmade locks (& machine screw-stock for bails) .
The prior owner says they've got the missing bail parts in a plastic bag & will get them to me after they move ( yes , I know where they work
) .
Walnut veneer on -get this-
clear pine , with some walnut trim ; marble 'backsplash & shelf .
Drawers doved front & back , with the top 2 drawers sided in birch .
Good condition overall , with a few small dings & such .
Against my tightwad principles , I paid a C note for it .
Strange thing about this one is that the bottom panel (base panel) is also dovetailed in the frame .
