Dress maker?
« on: January 25, 2010, 05:59:14 am »
Does anybody know the name of this dress maker? I am thinking about buying a victorian era dress and this is the maker. But I have typed it out every which way and can't find the company online. The seller doesn't know it either.
Strack?
Frack?
Strale?
This thing costs a pretty penny so I want to try to verify the maker beforehand!
Thanks for any help!

There is a maker of fine men/women's wear (Shack) in MA.  It started business in the 1950's.
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

I think KC is referring to Shack's in MA at the following link:

http://www.shacksclothes.com/womens.php

But I also found Shack Inc in NYC:

When you click on the website link you bring up a photo of a room with vintage clothing on the left.

But when you explore the site, it becomes rather confusing.

However, there is a phone number. Anyway, it's a lead.
