Hi jacking the post again. Railman I don't know I never asked. it's car shows only and was appraised at $65,000.

It must be an AC Ford Cobra.  Shelby Cobra's with the small engine start at close to a million dollars in decent shape.  The big engine Cobra prices are priced astronomically.

I consider this a very thought provoking question.

If it was endless money...I would use it for the betterment of those that are living.
As much as I love antiques, they would take a backseat to the care of others.

If it is for the top 4 items of my dreams....I have found that in the years I grow older....there are so many things that I once desired to own that I no longer feel the need to own/have - just being able to see them in real life is actually enough.  I would have to go along with Talesof in that I would acquire things in order to preserve them for future posterity!

Don't mean to sound lofty....I have just gotten to a point in life....I am really content with what I have and really should get rid of a lot of it!  But...I will make my kids have to deal with that some day!  Ha!

I'd go after an antique idea , and distribute the $ equally to everyone , in a vain attempt to go after the 'newer' version of the 'Golden Rule' .

I'd kinda like to have 'The Thinker' by Auguste Rodin , but wouldn't feel right about having it in the house .

Oh yeah, I hadn't thought about garden statuary, LOL. My fav has always been Rodin's Gates of Hell. I think it belongs at the center of a tall hedge labyrinth. That would creep people out big time!

Yes, that would be rather befitting. Did you see the Giacometti statue that sold for 105 million recently? I don't think I would pay $10 for that "thing"
