Old royalrobe wardrobe trunk

I've got this old seward trunks and bags royalrobe trunk and I was wondering if anyone here could help me figure out some more about I really like it and would love to restore it.

You have a wardrobe trunk.  Most people call it a steamer.

It is hard to tell in the photos, but probably rawhide. Is it the consistency of a rawhide dog chew? I have a trunk with that on around the edges.

In it's current condition maybe $30-$40. It would not be worth the money to have it redone, but if you do perhaps $60.
