No clue what this is, but it rings!
« on: March 25, 2010, 08:33:26 pm »
Ok I am at a complete loss.  It appears to be some sort of a bell.  Looks to have at one point had a handle which is long gone.  Other than that, HELP!!

They are bell garden wind chimes. Modern and not antique I'm afraid!

Something about it just struck a chord... One ringy-dingy... Two ringy-dingies...

Bells from 500 Dm and other desk model phones.  they were 2 per phone set with a 'clacker' between.

I'm with ironlord on this one...I want one for the garden also.  My only question is how much wind does it take to have them chime?

Honestly wayward it does not take much to make them chime, they kind of tinkle ;) when a breeze goes by my butterflies love to drink any dew or water from mine.

Really?  Now I really have to get them in the garden for the butterflies!  I have monarchs, giant swallotails, tiger swallowtails, question marks, mourning cloaks, tiny little blue ones (the name escapes me), clearwings (hummingbird moths), skippers, and a myriad of others that I can't think of until I see them.
