sapphire this was also used by the Dutch in the past.  It is befuddling when you try and take it all in!
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

This is my next  ???

Made by Victor Silver Co., marked Quadruple Plate.......none of the marks for Victor Silver that I have found match this. I have
seen impressed marks and also several of a circle with a unicorn.

From what I have read Victor was another trademark (or division) of Derby Silver (originally Birmingham Derby).  Derby merged
with International Silver Co. in 1898.

Have also read (paraphrased):

- Quadruple plate not used after approx. 1912

- Rule of thumb, Derby Factory B most likely from 19th century

Some of the older pieces apparently have a date included in their mark. I've come across anywhere from 1900 - 1906 dated.

So I guess my questions on this piece would be... does anyone know of a similar mark to mine, any idea on a date and would
this style be considered Art Nouveau?

I haven't found any further information on this.  I did find reference that the company was used by S&B Green Stamps (not sure if you are old enough to remember these items) for gifts in the 1900's and were barely around in 1980.  (The Pres of the Co's son and i were good friends - he was deaf and I interpreted his architecture classes for him in college!)

I remember green stamps (S&H?) and I also remember gold bond stamps but those may have been more regional.  I am 58.

Here's a few photographic memories, I can still remember the taste when you would lick the backside of a whole sheet of those things!!! I remember a kitchen drawer that was full of 'em!
