Need help figuring out my antique

A 19th century British copper Napierian brewer was sold by Skinner (Science & Technology sale - 2170 , lot -346) for $175 USD ... its' appraised/estimated value was put at $300-$400 .

800 parts upwards for silver so i think yours is plate

Somehow need to establish age of the item.  These are still being made.

If not able to.....would value between $50 to $125 IN A GOOD MARKET.

I'm no expert on these Napierain units , but from what I've gleaned from research in the past few days , yours appears to be a post-1890 unit .

If yours is a 'working unit' (seals intact & etc.) , so much the better .

I've not been able to find one exactly like yours ... perhaps some e-mailing around to 'Coffee-maker museums' might get you the results you seek ...
