I've never seen anything like this. Is it actually antique?? What style is it?

Yeah, I think they were lied to when they were told it was antique. Or they are lying...
Just wanted to make sure, in case it's some style I've never seen.
It looks kind of like a buckboard wagon seat on steroids.

I had to say "Whoa!" when I saw what they were asking for it! A friend and I once shared photos of what we thought was the ugliest couch ever. This is darn close!

Well now we know where Madonna got the idea for her 'bra' from  ;)

Oh my, time to settle down.....

I'm looking at a fringed 'something' hanging overhead and wondering if this is possibly of mideast origin or influence?

You know, it wouldn't be nearly as ugly if it didn't have those horrible legs. Solid wood ones and it'd be kinda cool.

So right hosman.  Even the seat is unusually thin. It needs some serious substance underneath to look balanced.

Thanks D&b!! Glad you had an answer for us.........at least now I know what style I'm not too partial to. So is the French Art Deco
generally 'off balance'? Don't know how else to describe it, just the impression it gave me. (beside the giggles)  ;)
