collector belt buckle

IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME FIND ANY INFO ABOUT THIS BELT BUCKLE AND WHAT IT MAY BE WORTH. MY GRANDFATHER PASSED IT DOWN TO US.  ALL I KNOW IS HE GOT IT FROM THE LAST COWBOY WHO OWNED THE LAST PARCEL OF FARMLAND THAT WAS SOLD TO LOS ANGELES COUNTY.  ALTHOUGH THE CITY WAS GROWING QUICKLY HE HELD ONTO THAT LAND AS LONG AS POSSIBLE.  I AM NOT SURE WHAT HIS NAME WAS BUT HE MADE ONLY TWO OF THESE AND I'VE BEEN TOLD THEY ARE VERY VALUABLE.  HE ENGRAVED HIS INITIALS MDM 1921 ON THE BACK OF IT SO I DON'T BELIEVE THIS ONE WAS MASS PRODUCED.  I'M ALSO NOT SURE EXACTLY WHAT IT IS MADE OF BUT IT IS VERY HEAVY.

Why are you shouting?  If there were only two made, one was on eBay for $4.99, so that must have been the other one.  No bids and it ended July 30, 2010 with $6 shipping.  Looks mass produced to me so I would guess it is worth less than $4.99.

Maybe I am too flippant in this answer but that shouting (all caps) just got to me.  :-\

Believe this was posted within the past 2 months as well....remember posting information about the land.
