Oak chair - lion carvings
« on: April 22, 2004, 08:00:01 pm »
I just found this chair in the garbage.  It has very intricate lions carved on the base of the two front legs.  It is in rough shape, cracked at the top and two of the legs are broken but it is truly beautiful.  The tag on the bottom states 'The Stomps Burkhards Co, Datton, Ohio, No A318.  Can anyone give me any info about this?  Is it worth trying to restore?

Thanks!
