Agree that it looks like a Degas. 

Talesof you are so correct...my parents didn't make it home with any of those painting...because had their trip extended until today, as was scheduled, I am pretty sure I know what we would get for a birthday or next Christmas!  ;)

We had a large box full of them at one point. I think I sold off most of them. There are a few boxed up in the spare room that belong to my son. When we went to Egypt he turned out to be quite the little negotiator in the bazaars. He was about twelve years old at the time and was big on collecting scarabs. He's got a whole collection!
