Leica Leitz Wetzlar 7x42B Binoculars

I have found the Leica Leitz Wetzlar 7x42B set of binoculars in my house and I was wondering what to do with them, if there would be a collector out there that would like them and i was wondering whether to sell them online or take them to an antique dealer or some specialist shop nearby

I am more looking for advice on if it is worth selling these and how much they would be worth, Thank you Jordan

The binoculars come with the original instructions, original case and original leather straps, there is a little wear and tear on the straps, case and binoculars themselves which is from them being used. There are a few scratches on the casing near the lenses but the lenses themselves are in perfect condition.

The Case has the Leitz logo on and underneath it has GERMANY written on it.

WOW i don't know much about those, but i just did an ebay search, and that brand of camera...and lenses alone go from a few hundred, to a few thousand.

I am not sure of the age of these but I do remember Leitz Trinovid from the 80s-90s. If I remember right, I think these were in the $400-500 range then (1985 or so). They were too pricey for me and I ended up buying Celestron binoculars for $110. I still have them and they serve me well for hunting and bird watching. Leitz lenses are renowned for their superior optics. I would keep them and use them as they are a great binocular.  7 is the power and 42 is the objective (big) lens diameter in mm. The higher the power, the more magnification. The bigger the objective lens, the more light they let through so the image is clearer in low light situations. A 7x42 would be good basic binocular size to use for anything.

If you are going to sell them, eBay would be your best bet or price them for sale and list them on your local craigslist. An antique dealer will give you nothing for these. Before selling, make sure the lens' are not scratched at all and there is no cloudiness/fogginess internally. Either problem and the price goes way down.
