Leather Handled Metal Rivetted Tool Box

Ok so ive been looking for weeks now to seee what kind of box this is from what time period and how much it might be worth   im here in texas Cleaning out  a old barn and inside of a old metal box was another metal box even older then the one it was in it is red in color had three latches made of thick brass its demensions are 19-2/4" LENGTH x 8" WIDTH  I couldnt find anything onlong that even came close to looking like this Plz help this box to me is in great shape barely any rust NO DENTS just paint is flaking off heres a couple pics. as an attachment

Somebody must have gotten a riveter for Christmas and practiced a lot! It looks like a heavy duty box that held an industrial tool at one time. Nothing exceptional or rare but still a nice industrial metal box.

Looks like it had a tray that fit in the top at one time !!  Maybe something like a drill box,, drill went in the bottom and bits went in the tray !! Sure is well built so it would have been for a heavier item !!

This is a really cool box, I love the paint! I would guess it was made around the 40s, how old do you think it is wayward? I would think it's worth around $40.

I would guess 50s but not $40. My value would be less than $20 but after watching Picker Sisters who knows?
