I don`t think its particularly ugly !! Just different !! But if no one knows who made them, finding any history would be like taking a shot in the dark !! Have you tried an internet search on "who made glass nugget lamps" or a similar phrase ?? You might accidently find it that way if anything was written anywhere on them !!
