Lafayette Porcelain Dishes
« on: July 11, 2004, 08:36:33 pm »
Hi there.  I recently inherited a set of porcelain dishes from a distant relative, but can find nothing out about them.

It is a rather large set with several different plate sizes.

They are ivory colored with green flowers that look like they were stamped or put on via transfer.  There is a wash of pinkish purple and yellow here and there on the flowers, and that looks hand-painted.  They also have gold details that look almost like they were sponge-painted on.

The only identifying marks I can find consist of "Lafayette Porcelain" stamped on the bottom, along with a logo that looks like two branches with maybe 3 P's in the middle.  One of the serving dishes also has the number 325D hand-painted in gold on the inside of the lid.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  I just want to know how old they are and where they came from.  I have photos if needed.

Thanks!

Mandy
