Much better for seeing detail  ;)

I know diddly about knives but will throw out some questions that I think need to be answered.

Blade length/width?

Weight.....does the metal part appear quite heavy?

The coloring on the blade......painted or is that a rust/corrosion combo?

Any idea where these came from, or who owned them at one time and if they travelled and to where?

Is the handle very hard or can it be scratched. Is it cold to the touch?

Identifying marks of any sort?  You may need a loupe or at least a magnifying glass to look over all surfaces.

There's likely more questions that would help identify it.......but that's a start

This looks like it is intended for decorative purposes only, not to be functional. The handle looks to be onyx or alabaster, and would not give a good grip. Inlay on the blade is also not practical. I think this is intended as a tourist item, and was made to look old, but I could be totally off base, so I'll throw that out there and see what others have to say.

I agree with Tales,,decorative "wall hanger" display item, appears the hilt is even curved a bit.  Probably a souvenir type item.

I agree that is also decorative. Just want to toss it out there that I saw an episode where the expert on Pawn Stars said that the handles are curved like that when it is a boot knife. That way, it will form to the leg and not slip around as much.

Looks awfully large for a boot knife though, how long is it again?
