early 1910's ornimental cow horn piece

saw this and had to have it    I was told it was early 1910s and theres an old brass plate on the back that says Ornamental Horn CO 84 Market Street -Chicago- ( cant find any info at all on the company ) just wondering if I had found something special or not, I love it regardless. What do you think?

Does it hang on a wall or something ?? Most made like that are hat racks !!  If its a longhorn it must have been a baby or it was just taken from the tips !!  6 feet is an average spread for a longhorn and many are larger than that !!  There are many that are composition and not true horn !! Since it said ornamental horn and not longhorn it may be fake horn !!

it does have two rings for hanging it, but youd have to use 10 penny nails to reach the rings from the wall. its real horn, but I shouldnt have said longhorn, Im guessing "Market St." probably had a slaughter house on it and these guys got all the cattle horns. I wanted to use it as a hat rack but cant figure out how to mount it so itl hold a hat up
