Grandpas "Sunday" cane
« on: September 18, 2011, 05:42:19 pm »
Hi folks, heres another save from the giveaway pile lol. The cane is vintage so I hope thats ok to post up here . My uncle has been a silver/goldsmith since the 70's and he made this for my grandpa when I was very young. I always thought this was special and I just wanted to show you all. The head is pre-ban elephant ivory hand carved, they eyes are ruby's and I believe the collar is silver... I have no idea what something like this would be worth but its a jewel in my collection :D

Pretty cool! I think a jeweler would have to appraise it since it has rubys and those would have to be rated.

Cool little item , JoshandLila .

Perhaps , if the uncle you mentioned is still alive & kickin' , he'd consent to sign it for you .... not so much to increase it's value right now , but will be a great identifier in its' future .
