1953 Canada Nickel-Near Leaf-Shoulder Fold?

Hello all! What do I have here? I can tell it seems to be near leaf-but not sure about the shoulder fold as they call it? Can anyone help? also whatever combo this is-how much is it worth? I found it in my pocket so its been around! Thanks everyone ahead of time!

Check Ebay !! That will tell you if anything is selling in that coin type !!

I did-I just can't tell if this is shoulder fold or not,I thought it was and looked at more now i'm confused if it is or not!

Is that an error in some of the nickels ??  I have never heard of it ??

From what I read-it was not proper for her to be bare shouldered-so they made it look like she had something on it-so some are called shoulder folds

OK,, Then you need to know how many were made in each form !!  I take it that some are bare shouldered and some are like yours !! Then find a known example and see if yours matches !!

Not an expert, but generally speaking, old coins have value based on two things -- rarity and condition.  The condition is not great -- Proof coins (never touched by bare human hands and containing a mirrored background) are the most valuable condition-wise, followed by uncirculated (never touched by bare human hands, but no mirrored background).  Rarity changes the formula significantly. 

You have the more common changed nickel -- with shoulder fold and near leaf.  In circulated condition, worth about eighty cents.  This website lists values for the Canadian nickel.

Nice piece of numismatic history there! -- but not a fortune, except that it's worth 13x its face value!

at last, a chance for me to add some info to the site  

im in the uk so half recognised the coin  straight away, as for ceasar ,, its queen elizabeth, says so round the edge

i see it as a threepeeny bit, an old 3 pence coin, just wrong writing and colour
